Suffice to say that most of the day was spent poolside trying to update the tan. Also recovering a bit from all this gallivanting around to various restaurants and doing awful sinful things like drinking alcohol………
In the evening, it was out again, to a “new-to-me” restaurant in the shadow of Kyrenia Castle called the Hur Deniz Fish Restaurant. I’ve been to it’s “sister” fish restaurant in another part of town. That was excellent, so my expectations were high. I was not disappointed, it was good.
Huseyin brought along was of his friends, Herro, who acted as wine waiter at the table. Or more to the point he was in charge of the raki and ice…..
It would be fair to say that I drank a considerable amount of said raki and was in a bit of a state by the end – well it was my last night……..
The whole thing was my treat anyway, as my hosts had been more than generous in looking after me. To be honest, it was no contest, as the whole meal + drinks +coffee _ liqueurs, etc, only came to 695TL (sorry, Turkish lira – so easy to go native after 2 weeks…….), which in real money was just less than £100 – amazing value for 4 people and there was SO MUCH food……..
Huseyin was up to his tablecloth best again…….
I slept very well that night – just as well, as I knew it would be it an early start to the airport for the flight home tomorrow.
