So having built up a few days leave ( 20 in all !), it was ( as Mr Fry would say on TomTom), it’s off to France we go !!!!! I’ve always wanted to go to the D-Day beaches in Normandy, so I combined this with a visit to my sister ( Alison) and her better half ( Steve) , who live in Thouars on the river Thouet. They have both “retired” to France, but seem exceedingly busy all the same. On the way home, I went to see my old Uni mate Pete and his wife Val, who now live in Bexhill, on the south coast.
Been a bit busy since I got back, but better late than never……..
