NOT A LOT is what I wrote in my day book, but I think it included some supermarket shopping, a visit to a car hire place to book something up for next week, swimming, eating, drinking, blah. blah, blah………. typical holiday stuff.

Plants grow here very quickly in the season, but they don’t last as long. Watering is a 2 hour experience every night during the summer months. Just before I came out, it had apparently reached temperatures of over 40 degrees C for 6 weeks on the trot – a bit hot even for the “native” expats.
At one stage I had a nice green reading companion – a baby praying mantis, I believe.
