Sunday morning I was sent on a mission to the local food outlet/cafe to but stuffed Turkish pancakes – another new experience. Various sorts, with meat, cheese, vegetables, etc.
In the afternoon went to a place called Vounos, above the village of Çatalköy. An ancient site, dating back to the Bronze Age, 2500 years ago. Now it’s occupied by people making reproductions ( and originals) based on some of the stuff previously found on the site. Strange place for a non-history buff….
PS. What we didn’t appreciate at the time was that they had their roof blown off during the explosions and had only just re-opened for service.
