NORTH CYPRUS 2019 – Saturday 21 September 2019 – Day 13 – Starting to stop……

Bit of a rest day today. First escapade was returning the car. A bit of a slow, unhurried process this.  Nice coffee though………

Back at the ranch, it was time for me to go into engineer mode. The house has a battery supported security light with solar charging. It seemed as if the battery had gone pop, so I’d sourced some similar replacements on the jolly old interweb. For some reason the UK supplier didn’t keep spare batteries, as normally not required for UK use. Cyprus temperatures are a different thing altogether……

So out with the pliers, insulation tape and a dollop of imagination. The PIR protective lens itself was very brittle ( heat again) so that had to be bodged up (sorry, repaired imaginatively) as well. All seemed to work OK – a fun mornings work.

The afternoon was devoted to developing the tan, with a bit of swimming thrown in as well.

Another evening out with the masses at the Ambelia Village Resort Restaurant, up in the hills behind Bellapais. The last time I was here, the swimming pool was being refurbished, but now all is beautiful. H & H are very friendly with the owner(s), so we got mega service and the food was excellent.
